No one tells you how much work goes into blogging and what is even more unsettling is no one prepares you for the bumps that come along on the path to being a successful blogger. Bumps like blogger´s block, no inspiration and sometimes near hatred for something you are truly passionate about. Its tough and as a blogger who believes in keeping everything honest, I must admit that it is tough. I´ve read countless posts about how hard it is but nothing compares to the struggle you go through when you are trying to find content to write about. As bloggers we struggle with ´keeping it real´, we struggle with ´can I write about this or that´and right now I find myself personally struggling with the content of today´s post. I want to write something inspiring, something interesting and at the same time something real, I refuse to give-in to the little voice in my head telling me “don´t worry about writing  a post today, you can do it tomorrow”.

Yes I can do it tomorrow but yes I can also do it today, I say to the voice in my head

Google.

I need inspiration and so do many bloggers out there, there´s so much to write about and yet days like these feel like Wednesdays. A slow, un-moving and unproductive day. Thankfully, you and I are not alone, there are millions of other going through the same thing we are and luckily for us, they have written posts we can copy “reply to” on such unproductive days. Grechen Reiter  HeartIFB wrote a cleaver post that I landed on and I knew exactly what my next post was going to be about, suddenly the block had been lifted. So, for future references, what I have to say is that, it´s ok to go through a moment of utter blankness but the way to overcome it will be by doing something about it, there is so much that people write about, if you find something that inspires you, its okay to write about the same exact thing too — see where that takes you.

If HeartIFB asked me what I had accomplished at the end of the calendar year 2014, what my goals for 2015 would be, this would be my response.

I hope to reflect upon this post next year and hopefully would have accomplished more than today and that I am proud of them and say “Yes, I did that!”

“What Have You Accomplished This Year?
Take a moment to pat yourself on the back for a second, and reflect on all you’ve done for your blog in 2014, no matter how small…”

Grechen Reiter, HeartIFB

I picked up my blog, started from where I stopped and not quitting. I am going strong and more passionate than ever
I moved to Barcelona on my own, something I am always going to be proud of
I am less afraid to reach out for things I want or what I believe in
I am working on a new exciting project and hope to see it grow into success for 2015 — more of this to come
I grew traffic on my blog and other social media sites, which is a forever exciting for me
I traveled more, to Lisbon, Firenze, Cortona, Siena, Girona and it has been wonderful
I cook more, write more, take more photos
I´ve sort of learnt Spanish, I hope to be more fluent this time next year

Now, what are some things you’ve accomplished this year for your blog and what will you take into 2015?
